Paciano has always been famous throughout the region for its excellent olive oil. The cultivation and pressing of olives has its origins in Etruscan-Roman times, in fact, in this village for thousands of years the passion for oil has been handed down from generation to generation. We too have been fascinated by it, so much so that we have decided to cultivate and produce our own oil with an intense aroma and balanced taste, obtained according to traditional mechanical pressing techniques that allow us to preserve all its quality properties.
Olive oil, in addition to being a tasty ingredient of our Mediterranean diet, has a multitude of beneficial properties for our health. For example “the oleic acid contained in extra virgin olive oil prevents arterial lesions and reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke*.
The polyphenols contained in the oil, besides giving it that more or less spicy flavor, are natural antioxidants that “protect the integrity of cell membranes, providing a defense against the formation and development of many types of cancer, and it seems they are also able to counteract memory loss and the alteration of other cognitive functions related to aging “**.
